Eight players are on the Green Bay Packers’ injury report ahead of their matchup with the Miami Dolphins in Week 16.

The Packers play on a short week after beating the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.

Most of this week’s games will be played on Saturday, which is Christmas Eve, although the Packers will play in one of the Christmas Day games on Sunday.

Offensive linemen David Bakhtiari (knee/abdomen) and Elgton Jenkins (knee) didn’t practice on Wednesday.

The other six players on the injury report did practice, although three were listed as limited participants on Wednesday.

Safety Rudy Ford (wrist/knee), running back Aaron Jones (knee), and cornerback Keisean Nixon (groin) were all limited.

Their status for Week 16 will be something to watch closely. It’s still early in the week, and the fact they were able to practice on Wednesday is an encouraging sign.

The other three players on the injury report were full participants.

Aaron Rodgers (right thumb/rib) is still listed on the injury report, although he no longer appears to be limited by the injuries and is regularly practicing in full.

Running back AJ Dillon (concussion protocol) practiced in full on Wednesday, which is potentially a great sign for his availability for Sunday’s game with the Dolphins.

Inside linebacker Krys Barnes (hand) was also a full participant, an indication that he will be good to go this week.

So, overall, the Packers are relatively healthy entering a crucial matchup with the Dolphins on Christmas Day. In contrast, the Dolphins have 15 players on their injury report, including five who didn’t practice on Wednesday.

The Packers may have preferred their bye week to come a little earlier, but having it in Week 14 has helped them get healthier ahead of the final stretch of the regular season.

Hopefully the Packers will have the majority of their roster available on Sunday.
