Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander is having another great season, and he has been voted to the Pro Bowl, the team has announced.

Alexander is the Packers’ only player voted to the Pro Bowl, although the team does also have six alternates.

The former first-round pick has bounced back from an injury-hit 2021 season, and he is having another great year.

Alexander has 12 pass defenses and four interceptions this season, once again showing why he is one of the league’s top cornerbacks.

According to Pro Football Reference, Alexander is allowing a quarterback rating of just 66.4 in his coverage, which is a career-best.

Alexander has always been great at shutting down top wide receivers and deflecting passes. One area he needed to improve was forcing more turnovers. We’re seeing that this year, as Alexander already has a career-best four interceptions with three games to go.

He deservedly makes his second Pro Bowl after what has been yet another great season for the Packers’ 2018 first-rounder.

Green Bay would love Alexander to add to his interception total in the final three games of the season. The Packers need to win all three.

Packers have six Pro Bowl alternates

Alexander is the only Packers player to make the Pro Bowl, but they do also have six alternates.

Offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, defensive tackle Kenny Clark, running back Aaron Jones, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, edge rusher Preston Smith, and cornerback Keisean Nixon have all been named alternates.

How great is it to see Nixon being named a Pro Bowl alternate?

He has only been the Packers’ number one returner for a matter of weeks, but he has already made a huge impact with multiple kick returns of over 50 yards.

Had he been the returner all season, perhaps he would have been named a first-teamer on the NFC roster.
