5 biggest takeaways from Packers’ huge win vs. Vikings in Week 17
Keisean Nixon should be an All-Pro
For the first half of the season, Amari Rodgers was Green Bay’s kick returner ahead of Keisean Nixon.
Making the change has proven to be one of the best decisions the Packers made all season. Every time he makes a return, it looks like he could score.
On Sunday, he finally did.
Following Green Bay’s excellent defensive stand to limit Minnesota to three points from the two-yard line, Nixon returned the kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown. Simply incredible.
This comes a week after Nixon returned a kickoff 93 yards to set the Packers up on the Miami Dolphins’ nine-yard line.
He is consistently making game-changing returns and giving the Packers great field position. And every time he brings the ball out of the end zone, there’s a chance he scores.
Nixon has come close to finding the end zone on multiple occasions, including on his incredible 93-yard return last week. Finally, he gets the moment he deserves with the Packers’ first kick return touchdown since 2011.
Nixon could be the best returner in the NFL, and he hasn’t even had the job the entire season.
There’s little doubt that his contributions on special teams have made a huge impact for Green Bay during this four-game winning run.
