Aaron Rodgers is healthy

Aaron Rodgers won’t win his third straight NFL MVP award this season, and there’s no doubt he hasn’t been at his best for much of the year. However, a thumb injury on his throwing hand sure didn’t help.

He suffered the injury in Green Bay’s loss to the New York Giants in London back in October. It regularly limited him at practice, and he often missed practice on Wednesdays. Rodgers continued to play through the injury, but it must’ve had an effect.

However, Rodgers practiced in full in the weeks leading up to the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins games, an indication that his thumb injury had improved. He missed practice this past week due to a knee injury, but he practiced in full on Friday then showed no limitations against the Vikings.

The Packers will need their defense, special teams, and run game to all contribute in a playoff run, but Aaron Rodgers can be an X-factor.

Rodgers can still make incredible throws that few others in NFL history could. He is still Aaron Rodgers, which means he can produce some magic to help the Packers win a playoff game at any moment.

Importantly, thumb and rib injuries appear to be in the past.
