2. David Bakhtiari

When David Bakhtiari is active, he is still one of the league’s dominant pass-protectors. However, Bakhtiari missed six games this season and continues to deal with knee issues. This comes after only featuring in one game in 2021.

If Aaron Rodgers returns, it’s hard to see how the Packers don’t also bring back Bakhtiari.

But if Rodgers retires and the Packers begin a rebuild, they could create cap space by moving on from their future Hall-of-Fame tackle.

Bakhtiari’s cap hit in 2023 is $29.07 million. The Packers could save $17.5 million if they release him post-June 1.

This is one of their toughest offseason decisions. Bakhtiari is an All-Pro when he plays, but having missed multiple games and with a huge cap hit, what should the Packers do?

1. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers said he needs time to make a decision on his future, which he will think about in the coming weeks.

Retirement is a possibility for Rodgers, who turned 39 last month. But he hasn’t ruled out a return to the Packers, either, so we’ll see.

Rodgers’ decision will likely shape the upcoming offseason and how the Packers approach it, much like last year.

Has Rodgers played his final snap at Lambeau Field, or will there be another run in 2023?
