How many unrestricted free agents do the Green Bay Packers have in 2023?

The offseason has come earlier than planned for the Green Bay Packers following defeat to the Detroit Lions in the regular-season finale.

Green Bay must begin plans for free agency, which gets underway in just two months.

The team has a number of starters set to become unrestricted free agents this offseason. Below is the complete list of the Packers’ free agents, according to Spotrac.

Complete list of Packers’ unrestricted free agents in 2023

  • Adrian Amos, S
  • Allen Lazard, WR
  • Randall Cobb, WR
  • Mason Crosby, K
  • Yosh Nijman, T
  • Robert Tonyan, TE
  • Marcedes Lewis, TE
  • Keisean Nixon, CB
  • Dean Lowry, DL
  • Jarran Reed, DL
  • Krys Barnes, LB
  • Eric Wilson, LB
  • Dallin Leavitt, S
  • Tyler Davis, TE
  • Justin Hollins, EDGE
  • Johnathan Ford, S

That’s a long list featuring many starters on both sides of the ball.

Adrian Amos has started every game for the Packers over the past four seasons. Allen Lazard led the Packers in receiving in 2022. Randall Cobb is one of Aaron Rodgers’ greatest-ever targets.

Mason Crosby has played every game since 2007, an incredible record.

Yosh Nijman started 13 games at right tackle this season. Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis are Green Bay’s top two tight ends.

Keisean Nixon was named a first-team All-Pro as a return specialist this season, and he also provides solid cover at cornerback.

Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed started 12 and 14 games respectively this season. Without them, defensive line depth becomes a concern for Green Bay.

The Packers will be able to re-sign some of them, but many will either be playing elsewhere next season or will retire.

With limited cap space to work with, it will be difficult to bring back many of their own free agents, especially if they plan to sign players from other teams.
