The Jets have good skill players and a strong defense

In spite of the inconsistent QB play the Jets got this past season from the platoon of Zach Wilson, Mike White, and Joe Flacco (with a little Chris Streveler thrown in there), the Jets exceeded preseason expectations as they finished with a 7-10 record. However, they imploded at the end of the season by losing their last six games after starting 7-4 and in prime position to make the playoffs.

Yet, the Jets have amassed significant talent at their skill positions. Notably, rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson, drafted 10th overall in 2022, demonstrated immense talent and ability as a route runner as he caught 83 passes for 1,103 receiving yards. Along with Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Braxton Berrios, the Jets have a deep and talented receiving corps.

At running back, the Jets have fellow 2022 draft pick Breece Hall, who flashed electrifying and dynamic playmaking abilities as he led the team in rushing yards despite missing the last 10 games. As Hall recovers from a torn ACL, they can rely on young players Michael Carter and Bam Knight, who have both showed they can meaningfully contribute in the league.

As Rodgers transitions to another phase in his career, he could definitely benefit by having a youthful and talented group of position players on offense to support him.

Moreover, with a defense coached by Robert Saleh and led by first-team All-Pros in CB Sauce Gardner and DL Quinnen Williams, the Jets have one of the best defenses in the league. In 2022, the Jets had a defensive unit that ranked fifth in points per game against, third in passing yards allowed, and fourth in yards allowed.
