The Green Bay Packers shouldn’t trade Jordan Love.

But in a scenario where Aaron Rodgers returns for another season and the Packers run it back once more, it may be their only choice.

The Packers can’t afford to let Love walk in free agency without seeing him play. They probably shouldn’t pick up his fifth-year option if they don’t plan on letting him start in 2023, either.

So if the Packers and Rodgers do agree to run it back, the Packers’ best option may be to trade Love elsewhere.

Again, do I think they should do that? No chance. But what if they did?

This mock draft explores that. How could a Packers 2023 draft look if they traded Jordan Love and went all-in for a championship with Aaron Rodgers next season?

Jordan Love trade

The Carolina Panthers need a quarterback. However, they don’t pick until ninth overall in the first round. Unless a quarterback prospect they love falls to them or they trade up, Carolina could miss out.

In this scenario, they land a talented quarterback. A former first-rounder. And they get Jordan Love without having to give up their own first-round pick.

Carolina finds its new QB1, Green Bay lands a premium draft pick.

Let’s get into the mock draft.
