This Green Bay Packers 2023 three-round mock draft features three huge trades, including one for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Aaron Rodgers era could end this offseason, either via retirement or a trade. For the Green Bay Packers, the 2023 NFL Draft would then be all about building long-term around Jordan Love.

That could include adding offensive pieces, especially if Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Robert Tonyan, and Marcedes Lewis all leave in free agency.

It could also include strengthening the defense, importantly up front.

Using Pro Football Focus’ mock draft simulator, I played Packers GM for three rounds.

Packers draft trade #1

Aaron Rodgers goes from one historic franchise to another, reuniting with Davante Adams in Las Vegas. Green Bay adds picks in the first and second rounds, including the seventh overall selection.

Packers draft trade #2

We take that first-rounder from Las Vegas and immediately trade it, sending it to New England along with a fifth-rounder. In return, the Packers land the 14th overall pick and the Patriots’ second-round choice.

Packers draft trade #3

New Orleans is back in the first round after trading Sean Payton to Denver. With the 29th pick, could the Saints make an aggressive trade-up for a quarterback? They could in this scenario.

So, after all of that, which picks do the Packers own?

They would have two first-rounders (Nos. 15 and 29), four second-rounders (Nos. 38, 40, 45, and 46), and a third-rounder (No. 78). Not bad business.

Perfect for a rebuild around Jordan Love.
