On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles compete in Super Bowl LVII. As a Green Bay Packers fan, there aren’t many reasons to cheer for either team.

In fact, I’m sure many of you reading this don’t particularly care which team wins. You might not even like either team.

If that describes you, here’s a reason why you may want to consider rooting for the Chiefs to win.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

The Chiefs wide receiver spent the first four seasons of his career with the Packers, and he produced some memorable moments during his time in Green Bay.

MVS gave it everything when he wore the green and gold, catching 123 passes for 2,153 yards and 13 touchdowns.

In 2020, he led the league with 20.9 yards per catch.

Valdes-Scantling also stepped up in the postseason. In 2020, he caught eight passes for 148 yards and a touchdown in the playoffs.

He has done the same thing for the Chiefs this year, making seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns in two playoff games.

In his first season with the Chiefs, Valdes-Scantling gets an opportunity to win the Super Bowl.

And it wouldn’t be a surprise if he had a huge game.

With his speed, MVS is a great deep threat. Out of nowhere, he can make a game-changing play. He did it so often for the Packers.

In the 2020 NFC Championship Game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, MVS caught four passes for 115 yards and a touchdown, averaging 28.75 yards per catch. In the AFC Championship Game two weeks ago, he made six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown, averaging 19.33 yards per reception.

Who knows, maybe Valdes-Scantling scores the game-winning touchdown for the Chiefs.

So, if you’re unsure which team to cheer for in the Super Bowl, former Packers wide receiver MVS is a reason to go with the Chiefs.
