The Green Bay Packers‘ 2022 season was a disappointing one. Having secured the NFC’s top seed the previous two years, expectations were high.

But the Packers fell short of them, failing to make the playoffs and finishing with a losing record.

Unfortunately, some players also fell short of expectations this season.

These three players struggled for the Packers in 2022.

Sean Rhyan

The Packers drafted Sean Rhyan in the third round. While expectations weren’t that he would become a great starter from Day 1, you would hope he could contribute at some point off the bench.

Rhyan couldn’t get on the field in his rookie season. He was only active for one game and didn’t play a single snap on offense. Even when the Packers were hit with injuries along the offensive line, they never turned to Rhyan.

To make his rookie season even worse, Rhyan was suspended for the final six games.

There’s still time for Rhyan to turn things around. If he can show significant improvements over the summer, he can get back into the mix for snaps on offense.

Again, he didn’t need to make the Pro Bowl this year. But after drafting him in the third round, the Packers would’ve expected a lot more from Rhyan in his rookie season.
