Round 7 (234): Brodric Martin, DT, Western Kentucky

Time to pick up some role players for the Packers in the seventh round of this mock. First up is Brodric Martin, who adds another nose tackle type to the defensive line that can rotate in with T.J. Slaton. If Martin and Slaton can hold down the fort, it lets Kenny Clark and Devonte Wyatt attack more often.

Round 7 (237): Juice Scruggs, OL, Penn State

It’s unclear how the Packers feel about the play of Josh Myers through two seasons, but it’s been inconsistent. Center probably won’t get addressed early, but a late-round pick makes sense. Juice Scruggs has played strong as a pass blocker for Penn State, and that’s what Green Bay has often coveted more along the offensive line.

Round 7 (244): Michael Jefferson, WR, Louisiana

Another big, strong receiver late for Green Bay here in Michael Jefferson, who does good work in the intermediate and deep areas of the field. He caught 51 passes for 810 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022, and adds more depth to a likely shallow room for the Packers after free agency.

Round 7 (256): Keidron Smith, CB, Kentucky

The secondary is in a weird spot at 1265 Lombardi Avenue. We’ve addressed safety in this mock draft, but corner has some intrigue this offseason. Eric Stokes is a big question mark. Rasul Douglas is going to have some tough cap numbers going forward. Keidron Smith could add a bit of boost to the room in the later rounds.

Round 7 (259): Chad Ryland, K, Maryland

Is Mason Crosby done? Potentially, which leaves a hole at the kicker position for the Packers. Yes, the veteran route is an option, but there’s a reason guys are available at kicker. They aren’t consistent. Chad Ryland looked great in Mobile from 45 and 50-plus yardage, and could be the answer in the post-Crosby era.
