Packers: Top 10 moments in Aaron Rodgers’ legendary career
10. Superhero six-game stretch to run the table (2016)
After the Packers lost their fourth straight to fall to 4-6 in 2016, the season looked destined for failure. Aaron Rodgers said he believed the team could “run the table”, and he wasn’t wrong.
Superhero Rodgers arrived, throwing for 2,384 yards, 21 touchdowns, and just one interception in an 8-0 stretch that saw Green Bay go from 4-6 to the NFC North title and a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
In playoff victories over the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, Rodgers threw for 717 yards, six touchdowns, and an interception, and even completed a Hail Mary against New York.
A magical run.
9. Pinpoint touchdown pass in playoff win vs. Cowboys (2014)
Rodgers had more success against the Cowboys two years earlier. Despite playing with an injured calf, Rodgers stepped up when the Packers needed him most.
With the Packers trailing by a point in the fourth quarter, Rodgers rolled to his left and made one of the throws of his career. He hit a beautiful, pinpoint pass to tight end Richard Rodgers for a 13-yard touchdown, hitting the perfect window between multiple Cowboys defenders.
It was a true masterpiece from a genius thrower of the football. Crucially, it proved to be the game-winning score in a tough victory over Dallas to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
