Without Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers are being written off in the NFC North this season.

Rodgers is expected to play for the New York Jets. Meanwhile, Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan are among the Packers’ free agents to leave so far this offseason.

Unsurprisingly, the Packers don’t have great odds to win the NFC North.

Packers given worst NFC North odds in 2023

Oh, how things have changed.

According to FanDuel, the Detroit Lions are the favorites to win the NFC North this season with +145 odds.

The Minnesota Vikings are next at +280, then the Chicago Bears at +300, and finally the Packers with +410 odds.

The Packers are a tough team to predict in 2023.

They still have All-Pros and Pro Bowlers like Jaire Alexander, Kenny Clark, Aaron Jones, De’Vondre Campbell, David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, and Keisean Nixon. Rashan Gary hasn’t been an All-Pro or Pro Bowler yet, but he deserves to be included. He is a star player.

The Packers also have a lot of young talent, including Christian Watson, Quay Walker, Romeo Doubs, Devonte Wyatt, Eric Stokes, Zach Tom, and AJ Dillon.

Their success this season will come down to those players, of course, but also the play of Jordan Love.

We simply don’t know what to expect from Love as he hasn’t played much in the NFL.

The team has shown confidence in him, and Love was impressive against the Philadelphia Eagles last season. But he only played a couple of series.

If Love makes a good start as the Packers’ new QB1, Green Bay will absolutely be in the mix in the NFC North. He is surrounded by a good roster, one Brian Gutekunst can add to with plenty of draft picks, including the 13th overall selection.

But we just don’t know.

It’s understandable that Green Bay is no longer a favorite in the NFC North, but I wouldn’t write them off just yet.
