With the Jordan Love era set to begin for the Green Bay Packers, it’s time to focus on building the roster around him.

Unlike in the final few years of Aaron Rodgers’ time in Green Bay when the aim was to win now, the Packers can now focus on building for the future.

A trade for Rodgers is yet to be completed, so we don’t know what compensation the Packers could receive from the New York Jets.

So let’s focus on the 15th overall pick, which Green Bay currently owns. Which draft prospects could the team target in the first round to build around Love?

5. Broderick Jones, T, Georgia

Jordan Love is the Packers’ long-term starter at quarterback, so why not find him his future left tackle?

David Bakhtiari is set to return in 2023, which is great news, but Green Bay should consider drafting one of the best tackles in the class.

Georgia’s Broderick Jones is a future star. He could start from Day 1 at right tackle before eventually moving to left tackle in the future.

Jones is a phenomenal athlete, and he is a physical, powerful player. According to Kent Lee Platte, he earned a Relative Athletic Score of 9.55 out of 10.

Could the Packers draft a fourth straight Georgia player in the first round? Jones would be an excellent choice.
