5 things the Packers must do to win with Jordan Love
1. Strengthen the offensive line
The best way the Packers can help Jordan Love is to give him a rock-solid offensive line. The good news is that Green Bay’s offensive line already features plenty of talent, but they can absolutely improve this offseason.
David Bakhtiari looks set to return to Green Bay after the team restructured his contract. Bakhtiari is still one of the best left tackles in the NFL.
But the Packers should draft at least one tackle this year. Not only does that help improve the depth, but they need to also think long-term. Now is the perfect time to find the Packers’ future starting left tackle.
Elgton Jenkins’ best position is left guard, but Green Bay must also figure out Zach Tom’s best position. Maybe that’s tackle, but it could also be guard or center.
Josh Myers has been an inconsistent starter at center. Tom may be a better option. The Packers should also be willing to add more interior offensive linemen in the draft.
Creating competition for starting jobs is a good thing, and the Packers can also improve their offensive line depth this offseason.
Jordan Love lacks starting experience, so it will take him time. That’s why supporting him with a strong offensive line is important.
