Trade negotiations are still ongoing between the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets for Aaron Rodgers.

While we all continue to wait for a resolution, it’s notable that the Jets now have consecutive picks in the second round. If they are unwilling to include their first-rounder in the Rodgers deal, perhaps they could be tempted to send both second-rounders to the Packers.

So, let’s explore that possibility in this mock draft.

Packers 3-round mock draft: Aaron Rodgers trade

I went with a straight swap. No conditional picks or players included, just a nice, straightforward trade. The Jets receive Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback they need to become contenders in the AFC.

Green Bay moves to the Jordan Love era with two more second-round choices. The Packers would then enter the 2023 NFL Draft with the 15th overall pick in the first round, and the 42nd, 43rd, and 45th picks in the second round.

Four top-50 picks is the perfect way to kickstart a new era with Love. They would have all sorts of opportunities to strengthen the roster, including potentially trading again. Spoiler: more trades are on the way in this mock draft.

So, let’s not waste any more time. Let’s move ahead with the next trade in the first round.
