As the Green Bay Packers have had the youngest team in the NFL for the past few seasons, they don't have nearly as many high-priced players on the books as some other franchises, especially after showing Jaire Alexander the door.
But it's not as if they don't have any, and they did add another pair to the list by shelling out big bucks for left guard Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs in free agency.
That said, neither of those new additions appears on this list, as their contracts, like most big-money deals, were backloaded in terms of their salary cap hits. And just to clarify, those are the figures we'll be using to construct this list, as that's simply the easiest way to do things, as opposed to weighing guarantees, potential earnings, incentives, and things of that nature.
For those wondering, Banks has the seventh-largest cap hit for the Packers this season at $9.03 million, while Hobbs ranks ninth at $5.99 million.
Now, let's have a look at those who did crack the top five, starting with the obvious No. 1.
Packers players with the highest salary cap hits in 2025
1. Jordan Love, QB, $29.69 million
Quarterback Jordan Love is set to play the 2025 campaign on the first season of the four-year, $220 million extension he signed in July 2024.
Love, who took the Packers to the postseason in each of his first two seasons as a starter, a feat neither Brett Favre nor Aaron Rodgers accomplished, carries a 2025 cap hit of $29.69 million, which consists of $11.9 million in base salary, $16.76 million as part of his signing bonus, $529,412 in roster/game bonuses, and a $500,000 workout bonus.
This is the cheapest Love will come for the Packers, as his cap number rises to $36.16 million in 2026, $44.03 million in 2027, and a whopping $75.78 million in 2028, according to Over The Cap.
2. Rashan Gary, DE, $25.77 million
Coming off the first Pro Bowl selection of his career, linebacker Rashan Gary will play the upcoming campaign on the second season of the four-year, $96 million extension he signed in October 2023.
Gary, a first-round pick of the Packers in 2019, carries a 2025 cap hit of $25.77 million, which consists of $7.05 million in base salary, $6.93 million as part of his signing bonus, $1.59 million in restructure proration, $9.5 million in roster/game bonuses, and a $700,000 workout bonus.
3. Kenny Clark, DT, $20.37 million
Veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark, a first-round pick of the Packers back in 2016, is in the first season of the three-year, $64 million extension he signed in July 2024.
A three-time Pro Bowler, his most recent selection coming after the 2023 campaign, carries a 2025 cap hit of $20.37 million, which consists of a $1.3 million base salary, $4.38 million as part of his signing bonus, $5.49 million in restructure proration, $8.5 million in roster/game bonuses, and a $700,000 workout bonus.
4. Xavier McKinney, S, $17.86 million
Safety Xavier McKinney joined the Packers as a free agent ahead of the 2024 season, inking a four-year, $67 million deal, and quickly rewarded the team with the best campaign of his career, earning First-Team All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl nod after recording 88 tackles, 11 passes defended, and eight interceptions.
McKinney will carry a 2025 cap hit of $17.85 million, which consists of $3 million in base salary, $5.75 million as part of his signing bonus, $8.7 million in roster/game bonuses, and a $400,000 workout bonus.
5. Elgton Jenkins, C, $17.6 million
Rounding out the top five is Elgton Jenkins, who is one of the highest-paid centers in the NFL. It obviously has to be noted that the four-year, $68 million extension he signed in December 2022 came when he was still playing left guard.
Jenkins, of course, moved to the middle of the line with the arrival of the aforementioned Aaron Banks and will carry a 2025 cap hit of $17.6 million, which consists of $11.75 million in base salary, $4.8 million as part of his signing bonus, $600,000 in roster/game bonuses, and a $500,000 workout bonus.
