The Green Bay Packers are going into the 2026 season with more uncertainty than in past years, which will make OTA competitions even more important than they normally are.

Most of the depth chart has seemingly been locked in after retaining some of their more experienced players, but with many big names vacating their past spots after their recent departures, there are multiple tooth-and-nail competitions that could have some knock-on effects when they are resolved.

These five battles should be under a microscope in the early stages of the offseason, and they could get very heated between the participants.

5. Kicker: Trey Smack vs. Lucas Havrisik

Smack was drafted to replace Brandon McManus, but if he underperforms in training camp, the Packers might be willing to just chalk that pick up as a loss. Considering how McManus faltered last season, Havrisik and Smack will need to show they have the clutch gene needed to thrive in the NFC North.

4. WR4: Savion Williams vs. Skyy Moore

Williams' unique skillset as a runner and receiver could make him a fun weapon, but if he doesn't take any developmental steps forward, the Packers might regret using a Top 100 selection on this jack of all trades, master of none. Moore has struggled, but his skillset could make him someone that can slide right into Williams' role.

3. CB2: Brandon Cisse vs. Carrington Valentine

The Packers selected Cisse with the thought he could eventually develop into a viable starter on the outside, and with Valentine not showing that he is capable of taking that next step as a player, there's a chance Cisse may put his status as a developmental player to the side as he seizes a starting role.

2. EDGE2: Lukas Van Ness vs. Dani Dennis-Sutton vs. Barryn Sorrell

Even when Micah Parsons gets back, this pass rush room needs to sort itself out and show they cab provide some juice without Rashan Gary. Van Ness' lack of elite production has him bordering on bust territory, Dennis-Sutton needs to be a bit more consistent, and Sorrell needs to get a step quicker.

1. RB2: MarShawn Lloyd vs. Chris Brooks

The legal situation hanging over Josh Jacobs has made this even more of a priority. Lloyd is perpetually injured, and Brooks doesn't have a ton of upside. Barring a trade for a veteran, the Packers may end up scraping the bottom of the barrel for consistency on the ground.
