I'm not sure if anyone's really prepared themselves for the possibility that we may be in the last two weeks of Aaron Rodgers' NFL career. You may have heard that the New York Jets just barely missed the playoffs this year, and it kinda feels like no one knows what the means for Rodgers' future.
He has hinted at his desire to keep playing, but the injuries are piling up and it's not like there are a ton of openings out there on Super Bowl contenders.

At the very least, it seems pretty reasonable to think that his Jets career only has two weeks left. The Rodgers-Jets experiment has gone about as poorly as any of us could have imagined, and given how many people the team has fired in the middle of a season, you'd think a hard reset is coming this offseason. Hard resets generally don't include 41-year-old QBs who may be washed, which puts Rodgers in an awfully precarious position.
And according to the latest injury roundup from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Rodgers' time with the Jets may already be over.
Aaron Rodgers' time on the Jets may have already come and gone
Rodgers is apparently dealing with a knee injury and may not play in the Jets' Week 17 game this Sunday.
That'd be curtains, right?
It's not like Rodgers is going to come back for what'll be an extremely pointless game against the Dolphins during Week 18? Teams always get a little wacky in the offseason, but if Rodgers doesn't play this weekend, it'd be a fitting way for a disastrous tenure to end.
He started his time with the Jets injured, and now he ends his time with the Jets injured. I'm not sure if that says more about being a 41-year-old quarterback or having to play for the Jets.
