I know we'd all be better off ignoring Aaron Rodgers at this point, but I just can't help myself. It's astonishing that someone who's so good at football is even better at making himself look foolish for absolutely no reason whatsoever. It really makes you wonder just how sideways his Hall of Fame speech is going to go. (Just kidding, no one's wondering about that. We all know.)

Rodgers was back on Pat McAfee's show this morning, because I guess he was getting lonely and annoyed that people were only focusing on the Draft? I dunno. But there he was, smug smile and all, talking about whatever it was that McAfee's show producers presumably begged him to.
There was some Jets talk (he did nothing wrong, they're awful), some retirement talk (he might retire, or he might not retire), and one extremely charitable moment where he mentioned that he'd be willing to play for only $10 million a year. And to think people really call him a headache.
Then, at the end of the interview, Rodgers came in hot with a random rant about sources and reporting that was stripped straight from the How To Deflect Blame Onto The Press handbook, 2025 edition. It's the type of rant that definitely makes someone look way more believable, so I totally get why he went there.
Aaron Rodgers' weird rant just makes Packers fans more thankful for Jordan Love
"I don’t have sources," he said. "I don’t have people out there pushing my narratives. I speak for myself. It’s funny how the narrative goes f******g crazy when I haven’t said a f****** word. There’s nothing to say. I just laid out where I’m at. There’s nothing to report. There’s no reason to keep talking about me at this point. It’s time to turn the page.”
My only problem with this rant is that I wish he would have told us about how he doesn't have any sources a few more times. Anytime anyone brings up 'the narrative,' I know they're totally arguing in good faith and are absolutely telling the truth. Surely someone who's as buttoned-up as Rodgers wouldn't leak things to the media – honestly, we deserve this rant for even thinking that. There's no reason to keep talking about him at this point! (The great irony being that I actually agree with that way more than he does.)
Thank goodness for Jordan Love. He may not be the star that Rodgers was in his prime, but I'll take some ill-advised throws over the middle of the field in exchange for not having to deal with the NFL's middle school drama GOAT. Just remember: he doesn't have sources. He definitely doesn't have sources. HE DOESN'T HAVE SOURCES, OK? QUIT ASKING HIM ABOUT THE SOURCES THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE.
