Abdul Carter just said what every Packers fan already thinks about Micah Parsons

Oh, we agree.

It's only been two games, but the Green Bay Packers look like every bit of a legitimate Super Bowl contender. There are a whole lot of reasons why, but of course everybody's favorite is thanks to Micah Parsons' arrival.

What Parsons has done in just a short time and after not even being fully thrown into this defense is flat-out incredible to watch. It hasn't gone unnoticed around the league, either.

New York Giants edge rusher Abdul Carter took to social media to post his thoughts after watching the Packers take care of business against the Washington Commanders.

Let's save the sarcastic retorting for Giants fans, here, and keep this about Parsons. But, the Giants defender isn't wrong.

Micah Parsons has the Packers defense playing too good to be true

...but it is. It is true.

Let's put it this way: if you took out the garbage time touchdowns over Green Bay's first two weeks, this Packers defense has given up just 16 points against a pair of NFC contenders in the Lions and Commanders.

Allowing eight real points per game through two weeks, in today's NFL, is just plain silly. It's unheard of. This might be a Packers defense unlike anything we've ever seen, and it's all coming together thanks to Parsons.

We can talk all day about Parsons' numbers if we want to. Heck, he had eight pressures on 37 rush attempts against the Commanders on Thursday night. For those who may not fully understand how ridiculous that is, Parsons finished last season with 46 pressures in 13 games per Pro Football Reference. That was good for third in the NFL, overall and put him at a pace of 3.5 per game.

He had eight against Washington.

Are we tracking now?

People tend to make a bigger deal about sacks, and that's fine. But, I would argue pressures are even more impactful. Pressures lead to takeaways, incompletions and punts just as well as sacks do. But, we like to focus on the 's' word too often.

Parsons' impact is exactly that of an elite quarterback, but on the defensive side of the ball. His presence has been felt by every other defensive teammate on the field with him. It's been blatantly obvious.

Carter's praise is exactly on par with the temperature of Packer fans after a couple of games. Parsons has been spectacular.
