Although a native Californian (born in Fort Bragg, grew up mostly in Mokelumne Hill), I've been a Packers fan since 1970 when I was 12 years old.Classmates at the time razzed me with, "The Pack is Back...in the garbage can!!!" every time the Packers lost back then (which was most of the time).I played quarterback on the school team, and was given the nickname "Benjy Bart" because my first name is a form of "Ben" and I tried to emulate Bart Starr in my quarterbacking (and tended to talk about him a lot).
