Bears radio host just gave the Packers free bulletin board material

For decades, the Green Bay Packers have not needed a single ounce of motivation to beat the Chicago Bears because, let's be honest here ... most years, it's just happened, naturally.

For the better part of this century, the Packers haven't had a problem with the Bears. More often than not, it's just been chalked up as another game and, also more often than not, another victory. But last year, there was a shift in this rivalry.

And, after the release of the NFL schedule this week, one particular Bears radio host decided to take a vicious shot at the Packers -- and we're still four months away from the season. David Haugh of 104.3 The Score reacted to the Bears and Packers squaring off on Christmas Day, this season:

"Merry Christmas, Bears fans. There's no way the Packers are coming into Soldier Field and ruining Christmas for Chicago. There's no way Matt LaFleur's going to have that. Bah Humbug! Go home, loser."

Bears radio host calls Packers head coach a 'loser' in baseless rant about Christmas Day game

You know, this would've been your typical snippet of pure and good rivalry content had Haugh not called head coach Matt LaFleur a "loser."

Up to that point, it was all fun and games. But, just like his team's head coach Ben Johnson, Haugh decided to take it up a notch. He opted for verbal violence, just like Johnson did after a game against Green Bay last season.

I guess the apple doesn't fall far from... Halas Hall?

Months after Johnson screamed "F*** the Packers!" in his postgame celebration and locker room speech, a Bears radio host is taking a page from that very same book.

Just for a minute, here, can we all marvel at the sudden confidence coming out of Bears fans? This is eerily similar to the same false confidence we saw out of Detroit Lions fans a couple of seasons ago, only for the Lions to go on to miss the playoffs last year.

This is a Chicago Bears team that is 6-24 against the Packers in their last 30 games and that includes a double-digit losing streak.

Bears fans, are you paying attention?

You might have yourselves a good team. You might even have yourselves a great quarterback and head coach ... and, for that, congratulations. It's been a long time coming.

But, Packers fans will just continue laughing for now. You have a very long time before the narrative has turned. Sure, we live in a "what have you done for me lately?" type of league. But, any real Bears and Packers fans know the history of this rivalry doesn't reflect well on Chicago, this century.
