The Green Bay Packers have been able to largely keep the Philadelphia Eagles' passing game in check over the course of their Wild Card matchup, but their resolve may have shown a few cracks after an embarrassing play by cornerback Carrington Valentine led to an Eagles score.
Valentine was charged with stopping Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert on a short pass in the flat. Not only did Goedert break the tackle, but he did so while stiff-arming Valentine for the remaining 20 yards, scoring a touchdown that would put Philadelphia up 16-3.
Social media was waiting to pounce on a moment like this, and they did not spare Valentine one iota of grace. Valentine was completely humiliated by Goedert in a play that could end up as perhaps the defining image of this contest when it's all said and done.

Valentine's play was so bad that many are jokingly expecting him to retire after getting emasculated like that. It's hard to find a more embarrassing display of getting physically dominated at that level, and it's a shame Valentine had to be on the receiving end of it.
Valentine has had some solid reps after Jaire Alexander's injury forced him into an expanded role, but no one is going to remember that after Goedert bowled him over. Valentine's in-game tackling grade from PFF sunk as low as 27.7, a sign that this has been a very rough night for him.
To be fair to Valentine, Goedert has five inches and close to seventy pounds in advantage over him. Weight classes exist for a reason, and he just found out why. A cornerback of his size making a tackle on a big runner like that in the open field with momentum is a tough ask.
Valentine has had some great moments in his Packers career, but the word "disgusting" was created especially for that rep. Until he cancels that out with another good play, a national audience's lasting memory of him will involve Goedert stiff-arming him into oblivion.
