The Green Bay Packers have told us they're committed to building around Micah Parsons with their actions this offseason. Chris McClellan's arrival is one of the latest examples, and he's eager to get to work with the club's superstar pass rusher.

McClellan wasted no time expressing excitement regarding the situation he's stepping into; it's an opportunity to share the field with a true game-wrecker in Parsons. The Missouri defensive tackle clearly understands that there were few, if any, better landing spots for him than Green Bay.

When asked about partnering with Parsons, McClellan sounded just like the many Packers fans looking forward to seeing them wreak havoc together:

"That was the first thing I thought about .... man," McClellan stated (h/t FOX6's Lily Zhao). "I get to play with one of the best in the game with Micah Parsons ... I'm fired up for that."

Chris McClellan is just as 'fired up' as Packers fans about Micah Parsons partnership

Of course, who wouldn't be stoked to be Parsons' running mate? He's arguably the most disruptive player in the NFL. His ability to single-handedly blow up opposing game plans makes life easier for everyone around him, and McClellan figures to be a prime beneficiary.

Teams are constantly chip-blocking and double- or even triple-teaming Parsons to stop him from getting into the backfield. He creates advantageous matchups for others with his mere presence. McClellan will now be there to clean up the mess — while also returning the favor.

There's a reason Green Bay traded its original third-round selection and a fifth-rounder to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move up seven spots for McClellan. The 22-year-old leverages great size (6-foot-3, 313 pounds) and massive, strong hands to collapse pockets from the interior. He recorded eight tackles for loss and six sacks in his final collegiate campaign.

Not only is McClellan a handful to deal with for rival quarterbacks, but his skill set also impacts the ground game. The Packers are thrilled to have another versatile chess piece along the trenches. Together, he and Parsons can form an electrifying duo for years to come.

It'll be interesting to see where McClellan fits in an experienced, crowded position room that includes free-agent signing Javon Hargrave, Devonte Wyatt, and Karl Brooks. However, that's a good problem to have.
