The Green Bay Packers will kick off Week 2 of the NFL season with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders. Both teams will enter the game 1-0 after picking up wins in their respective divisions on Sunday, and will try to keep things rolling. Both franchises are expected to be contenders this season, so the game should be a competitive one.

The Commanders' defense, which looked improved from last season in Week 1, will try to prove that's the case against Green Bay. However, the Packers' offense presents much more to worry about than the New York Giants did. With Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, and several talented pass-catchers, Washington will have its hands full.

As the Commanders prepare for Green Bay's offense, they will reportedly be locked in on stopping a surprising player. In a recent ESPN piece, Jeremy Fowler reported that Washington will be focused on stopping tight end Tucker Kraft.

Commanders are focused on stopping Packers tight end Tucker Kraft

"The Commanders will be all-in on stopping Jacobs, but tight end Tucker Kraft has the defense's full attention," writes Fowler. "Washington's defensive players feel that he's the full package and will be a big factor in the outcome of the game."

With respect to Tucker Kraft, he's not typically one of the first few names mentioned when it comes to stopping the Packers' offense.

The third-year tight end is coming off a season where he posted 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. In Green Bay's Week 1 win, he caught just two receptions for 16 yards and a score.

While a productive tight end, he's not the engine to what the Packers do offensively, so it's surprising the Commanders are putting an emphasis on slowing him down. Either way, Green Bay will strive to be clicking on all cylinders as they hope to pick up their second win.
