It wasn't the first time they had spoken, but this felt different.

Green Bay Packers fourth-round pick Dani Dennis-Sutton has met Micah Parsons before. Parsons regularly visits Penn State, his alma mater, where he shared conversations with Dennis-Sutton, an ascending pass-rusher for the Nittany Lions.

But a visit to the school is one thing. After the Packers selected Dennis-Sutton in last month's draft, they became teammates. Speaking to the Green Bay media for the first time on Friday, Dennis-Sutton revealed that he received a call from Parsons almost immediately after the pick.

What was his advice?

"He hit me right after (the Packers drafted him)," Dennis-Sutton said. '"Just be ready to work,' is the biggest thing he said. 'Don't worry about anything outside of working, man.' I'm here for the team, whatever the team needs me to do, I'm ready to work. That was really his advice."

It's further evidence that Parsons is an incredible teammate and leader in the Packers' locker room, not that we needed more proof. Even as he continues to work his way back from a torn ACL, Parsons found the time to share wisdom with the Packers' newest pass-rusher.

And he will love Dennis-Sutton's attitude. While he undoubtedly needs time to refine his pass rush and reach the consistency required at the NFL level, DDS will never give up on a play. He is relentless in the way he plays to the whistle, something Parsons' teammates didn't do enough last season (see: Rashan Gary).

Dennis-Sutton has been impressive from the moment the Packers drafted him. He immediately won fans over by telling reporters, "I love and I need football."

It continued on Friday. According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Dennis-Sutton didn't begin his media session until he had taken the time to shake every reporter's hand and ask for their name.

Will he become a star for the Packers? Only time will tell.

That's down to whether he can make the transition from the college game and take his game to the next level. But if he doesn't ever reach those heights, it won't be due to a lack of effort. It's already clear why the Packers tried to trade up for him before he fell to No. 120.

Although Parsons had already crossed paths with Dennis-Sutton during his visits to Penn State, it's exciting to hear how quickly he reached out to his new teammate. Hopefully, the two Penn State alums will become a destructive pass-rush duo for years to come in Green Bay.
