I have good news and I have bad news. The bad news is that we're ending the year with a blog about Aaron Rodgers and trolling. The good news is that we're ending the year with a blog about Aaron Rodgers getting trolled.
It's been quite the season for Rodgers. I'm not sure how "missing the entire season with a serious injury" ended up being the better of the two years for him in New York, but here we are. Rodgers has spent the last six months looking extremely his age, which is about as nice a way to put it as possible. His stats have been exactly what you expect them to be, and it's been so bad that NFL insiders don't seem to be sure there will be a starting spot for him somewhere next season.

And now, to top it all off, he's getting roasted by his teammates. After becoming the most-sacked QB in NFL history this past Sunday, Rodgers got trolled by former teammate and beloved Packers icon David Bakhtiari. And people say Twitter's not useful anymore?!
David Bakhtiari's got jokes and Packers fans will probably (definitely) love it
Putting aside the fact that Rodgers and Bakhtiari are actually very close friends and this is just banter and not actually anything close to a real roast or even a troll, this is a good bit. Even if I have to bend over backwards to pretend someone's roasting Rodgers on the internet, I'm willing to go there. Life is too short to miss that opportunity.
And even if it is just in good faith, I appreciate Bakhtiari pouring salt in the wound. If you told me this year was going to feature Rodgers very clearly no longer having it, setting the record for most sacks ever taken by a QB, and then getting made fun of by his former teammate for setting said record, I'd have jumped for joy. This is the stuff blog dreams are made of; I can't think of a better way to end 2024.
