We are, against all odds, still somehow a month away from the NFL Draft. If you have this weird feeling that the passage of time mysteriously crept to a halt in order to allow everyone time to get their 4.0 Big Boards up before it was too late, don't worry: you're absolutely right. The NFL really is that powerful.
So while we wait for the next month to watch everything happen the way everyone's predicted it will since the Super Bowl ended in early February, we've got to fill the time with fun predictions that slowly but surely raise our expectations to unreasonable heights. It's truly a tradition unlike any other.

That's what's so delicious about the latest Packers "prediction" from ESPN NFL analyst Bill Barnwell – it's the type of blurb that gives you something new and exciting to send your Packers group chat.
We are OVER the safe, first-round lineman pick predictions. They're a dime a dozen and all equally boring. Barnwell dropped a line in the water that's actually worth taking the bait on: the Packers trading *up* in next month's draft.

"If the Packers think there's somebody like that in this draft, especially at wide receiver or edge rusher, they should give serious thought to taking a bigger swing by sacrificing some draft capital," writes Barnwell. "The Packers have their own picks and could add more if they trade Alexander between now and draft day. Consolidating those might give them their best chance of landing a player who could take them to the next level."
Trading up for a wide receiver in the first round would be the least Packers move possible, which is why this prediction rules. Variety is the spice of life.
It also fits in line with some of the Tetairoa McMillan mocks that have started to pop up over the last few days. I'm not going to try to agree/argue with Barnwell here, in part because his football credentials speak for themself, but mostly just because you didn't click on this for my draft opinions.
