It's the end of an era.

AJ Dillon gave everything to the Green Bay Packers during his four-year stay, but the former second-round pick is on the move. The writing was on the wall once the Packers tendered Emanuel Wilson, leaving little room on the depth chart for another running back.

According to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports, Dillon is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles one a one-year deal.

He gets a fresh start with the reigning Super Bowl champions. It's a great move for Dillon.

Packers fans wish AJ Dillon the best as he joins Saquon Barkley in Eagles' offense

While it won't be fun watching Dillon play for an NFC rival — especially the team that eliminated Green Bay in January — Packers fans wish nothing but good things for Dillon.

He fully embraced everything about living in Wisconsin after he arrived in 2020. Dillon even accepted a rare team-friendly contract to return to the Packers last offseason. He arrived at training camp in the best shape of his career, but an unfortunate injury ended his season in August.

Fully healthy and ready to go, Dillon gets an opportunity to resurrect his career with the best team in football.

He will benefit from playing behind a Philadelphia offensive line that helped Saquon Barkley break the 2,000-yard mark last season.

It's the perfect landing spot for Dillon. If he can provide good backup behind Barkley, he will have a shot at landing a strong multi-year contract next offseason.

At his best, Dillon is an outstanding short-yardage back who can move the chains when the team needs a play. The Eagles have added yet another player capable of converting on 4th-and-1. Packers fans will never forget Dillon's 124-yard, two-touchdown performance against the Tennessee Titans inside a snowy Lambeau Field.

The Packers were never likely to bring back Dillon this offseason, but it's great to see him get an opportunity elsewhere.
