Especially after how their last game went, it's not like the Bears-Packers rivalry really needed a breath of fresh air. It'll always be one of the NFL's premier games, and with both teams on the rise in one of the league's toughest divisions, there figure to be some classics ahead of us in the near future.

But also, you know, a little trash talk never hurts. Grady Jarrett, the Bears' new defensive lineman and instant fan favorite, knows that as well as anyone.

Jarrett, who Packers fans may know from That One Mic'd Up Clip With Jordan Love, talked a bit about that moment in his introductory press conference on Wednesday, and his answer is exactly the type of comment that makes this rivalry so fun.

Grady Jarrett is exactly what the Bears-Packers rivalry needs

"When you're playing ball, doing this, being a professional, being able to talk and communicate with people is something," he said. "But when you're playing ball, and you cross those lines, you've got to be able to go to that dark place. Sometimes, what happens in that dark place, it gets a little crazy."

"Obviously Jordan Love is a good quarterback, but my thing is, you already can't hit the quarterback in so many different ways," Garrett added. "I chased him down the field 50 yards, and went and caught him. So I've got that speed on me, and that was two years ago, and I'm only getting faster. Then to walk away from me, talking mess? What are we doing? But I'm excited to get to go against him two times a year now."

NOW we're talking.

This is the type of offseason comment that feeds families. A fun moment with the perfect amount of spice that also reignites an all-time great sports rivalry? I see why the Bears signed him. The NFC North may officially be back now. If the Bears and Packers' social teams know what's good for them, they'll have both Love and Garrett mic'd up for every single game they play against each other.

Then they'll make a movie out of it, charge us $17 to go watch in our local theater, and make a killing. The Lions could never be this entertaining.
