Did you get tired of the Detroit Lions at some point this season? Did you think everyone surrounding the Lions was a bit much considering they, you know, won as many playoff games as the Green Bay Packers did? (Sad!)
Well, reader, I have to warn you: the Lions are at it again.
More specifically, one Lions player is at it again. Za'Darius Smith – you know, the guy who barely over 50% of the defensive snaps with the Lions in seven weeks and only had one sack over the final five weeks of the season – posted quite literally the funniest picture you'll see all day on the internet. Which, by the way, is public! And forever!

Also, before you see the picture, I want to be clear: don't Lions fans talk about how the Packers didn't even win any rings at all. That is fine. It wasn't their year and that was pretty obvious after losing to *the Chicago Bears.* They also didn't win any rings because only one team wins a ring each year. Or so you'd think!
Za'Darius Smith's NFC North title ring is the funniest thing you'll see all day
Smith took to Instagram to post a picture of a custom-made Lions ring, featuring his name, number, and a Lions logo. The picture comes to us as an IG screenshot that's Tweeted out, as any good piece of modern art is.
It is, in a word, wonderful. And while Packers fans may be mad about this, I'd argue it's actually extremely funny and good that someone who played for the Lions for barely half of one (1) single season is posting a picture of a division title ring from Cancun. I'm trying to think of a better metaphor for the Lions' season than this, and I can't.
Maybe Detroit will throw them a parade sometime this spring?
Maybe they can have a big pregame ceremony when they're inevitably playing at home during one of the primetime slots on the NFL's Opening Weekend slate. They tried their best! [/Best Boomer impression] Shouldn't everyone who tries their best also get a giant diamond ring?! And really, who's to say if winning "a bunch of regular season games" is any better or worse than winning "the Super Bowl." I might even buy myself a ring for writing this blog.
