Jaire Alexander already on his way to finding life after Packers

That didn't take very long.

Remember the Jaire Alexander era? It seems like just yesterday that Alexander was the best cornerback on Green Bay's roster.

The Packers finally got around to making the move that everyone spent three months waiting for this week, and now both sides are finally getting that fresh start that they so frequently talked about throughout the process. I assume they'll now both spend the weekend with their closest friends watching sad movies and trying to stay out until at least 10pm.

And if Mark Murphy's comments yesterday were any indication, the Packers have already extremely moved on. The biggest question in the immediate aftermath of the news was just how long Alexander would be without a job, and where he'd end up next. Unfortunately I don't really have an answer to either of those questions, but Josina Anderson might! On Tuesday, Anderson reported a little bit of new info about where Alexander's search for a new team stands.

It sure seems like Jaire Alexander won't be out of a job for very long

I think this is probably true – Alexander's still obviously very good, and Anderson's plenty plugged in – but I can't help but kiiiiiiiinda think this is Anderson doing Alexander's agent a solid. He has so many teams that want him, he hasn't even thought about the Packers once since they went their separate ways. In fact, he even blocked their calls.

I can't think of all six teams, but I know with all the certainty in my heart that one of them is the Bills. One of them is always the Bills. Maybe the Dolphins? I feel like that'd make sense in a way I can't really explain. Regardless of where he lands, it sounds like he's very happy and working on himself right now, which is wonderful to hear. That moment when the Packers and Alexander pass each other on the street, only to nod at each other with a polite, respectful smile, is going to be so magical.
