The Green Bay Packers' win against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears had to feel extra painful for the hated rivals over in Illinois. Williams played a good game, the offense moved the ball well, and the defense locked down Green Bay's explosive offense. They still lost.

Not only did they lose, but they lost in heartbreaking fashion. Williams got the ball down to the optimal field goal range for Cairo Santos, but his game-winning effort was blocked by Green Bay. Chicago plunged to 4-6 on the season after losing their fourth straight game.

Jayden Reed and the Packers knew better than to act like gracious winners, as any victory over the Bears, especially in a playoff race, is to be celebrated with the utmost pomp and circumstance. Reed was not going to let the Bears off easy, as he took the celebration over to social media.

Reed (and teammate AJ Dillon) tweeted "Help The Bear" followed by a few laughing emojis after he escaped with yet another victory at Soldier Field. Reed still has never tasted defeat by Chicago's hand in his pro career, furthering the narrative that Green Bay has dominated the rivalry in the last few decades.

The Packers did not play their best game. The Bears moved the ball against them fairly efficiently just one week after firing their offensive coordinator. Love had a horrendous turnover and needed a drive late to put up a respectable 20 points against their much-hated rival.

The Packers won, beyond the luck of blocking a kick, because of coaching and execution. They have Matt LaFleur, a consistent winner. The Bears have Matt Eberflus, who will almost assuredly be let go by the team when the year ends. That advantage can't be understated, irrespective of Williams' development.

Green Bay's special teams, overseen by former Raiders head coach Rich Bisaccia, can often vary wildly in quality from game to game. When they are clicking, as they proved to be on Chicago's final kick, they can swing the result of the game.

Green Bay can't smile too wide, as they played poorly and the Bears look like a team that could give them a serious challenge in the NFC North when they get a good head coach. However, the Bears haven't beaten the Packers in more than a half-decade, and they've gotten in their own way often. That's funny.
