As the Green Bay Packers approach the start of training camp, the organization made a brilliant move in extending right tackle Zach Tom. The former fourth-rounder agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $88 million, and now the Packers have their right tackle locked up for the foreseeable future.
Packers fans are going to love that this deal got done, but more importantly, so will Jordan Love.
The Packers' quarterback didn't take long to share his reaction to the news of his right tackle sticking around in Green Bay, and oddly enough, Love showed his support of the move by saying nothing at all.
Love showed his appreciation of Tom and his new contract by simply sharing the NFL official account's post of the news on his Instagram story. There wasn't a comment or anything attached to what Love shared, just the news itself. This implies that the star quarterback is completely on board with his guy getting paid.
Jordan Love didn't have to say a word to celebrate Zach Tom's extension
Tom was a fourth-round pick by the Packers in 2022 and has turned into one of the best players along the offensive line. Not only has Tom genuinely been one of the best tackles in football, but he's versatile, as he has the ability to play all five positions on the O-line. Not many guys can do that.

The Packers showed that they learned from their mistakes they made this time last year when they failed to get Love extended in a timely fashion. Keeping Love upright will make the quarterback happy, and Tom will help ensure that happens.
Love is clearly all about seeing the guys on his team getting paid what they deserve, and Tom is hopefully the first of many of this core group to get extended and stick around. Hopefully, Tom continues his run of dominance and the Packers can reap the benefits.
