Keisean Nixon takes Packers' Davante Adams recruitment to a whole new level

So much for trying to be subtle!

Well at least we all know what offseason homework Matt LaFleur gave the Packers this year.

It hasn't even been a week since the Super Bowl ended, and we're already deep into more Davante Adams recruitment tactics from the Packers. You may remember a certain quote from a certain Packers running back go viral during Super Bowl media week, and while you probably don't remember a certain quote from a certain Packers quarterback (it was much less interesting), it seems abundantly clear now that the team is working hard to get Adams back in Green Bay.

The latest – and arguably most brazen – attempt at bringing Adams back quietly happened a few days after the Super Bowl, so don't beat yourself if you missed it in all the annoying clips of Eagles' players on Jimmy Fallon. (I'm just talking to myself here.) Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon hopped on the internet to tweet out his Packers Pitch, and it's so beautifully succinct.

Keisean Nixon wants Davante Adams back on the Packers and he doesn't care who knows

I hope, when Adams is back in the Packers' press room explaining the reason that finally convinced him to return to Green Bay – which, of course, will obviously happen – he brings this tweet up. I hope he talks about how he was on the fence, thinking about Super Bowl-contending teams on the West Coast, when he saw this tweet and changed his mind entirely. May we all remember where we were when Keisean Nixon's five word tweet single-handedly changed the power dynamic in the NFC for the next half decade.

And on another note, I appreciate how transparent the Packers are about the one wide receiver they seem interested in. Just about everyone – on the team and off – has admitted that they desperately need a more reliable #1 receiver, and the thing about the NFL is that there are, believe it or not, more than one of those. But that doesn't matter to the Packers. The Packers want Davante Adams. That's something admirable about how clear their vision is, and how entertaining it is to watch them try and execute it.
