Kenny Clark was a constant presence on the Green Bay Packers' defense for nine seasons after the franchise selected him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
As the longest-tenured member of the Packers, he also became a leader in the locker room while making three Pro Bowls.
Clark shared that, like plenty of fans, he was shocked when he was included in the deal that brought Micah Parsons to Green Bay. The three-time Pro Bowler remains very popular in the Packers' locker room, and there has been some contention over who will receive his jersey following his first game against his former team.
While Colby Wooden revealed that he called his former teammate earlier in the week to call dibs on the jersey, it appears that he may not get his wish.
Kenny Clark shares which former teammate will get his jersey after first matchup with Packers
While Parsons' return to AT&T Stadium has dominated headlines, and rightfully so, there are plenty of players in the Packers' locker room who will be happy to see Clark on Sunday. There has also been plenty of debate about who will have the opportunity to swap jerseys with the former Green Bay star.
Clark revealed that Rashan Gary, who called him about the opportunity immediately after the trade, will likely get his jersey. Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette shared his comments:
"Clark says Rashan Gary asked immediately after trade for jersey swap this week in Dallas. Gary is currently leader in clubhouse for very competitive jersey: 'If I could give a jersey to all of them, I would. I'd probably give it to RG, the oldest guy.'"
Clark has had a strong start to his Cowboys career, as he has posted a 73.7 PFF grade, while recording 10 total tackles, four solo tackles, one tackle for loss, 1.0 sacks, and one quarterback hit. Meanwhile, Gary is in the midst of the best season of his career playing opposite Parsons.
He has recorded 13 total tackles, eight solo tackles, four tackles for loss, a league-leading 4.5 sacks, and seven quarterback hits. Additionally, Green Bay's defense has been the best in the league, ranking first in scoring defense and third in total yards allowed.
