Lions' Brian Branch gave Jordan Love and Packers free bulletin board material

But in a weird, nice way?

The Jacksonville Jaguars are so annoying.

They're a terrible football team with no hope and ugly uniforms. They are also the only team standing in between the Green Bay Packers and one of their biggest home games of the season. It's honestly very annoying how we all have to sit here and think about the Jaguars for a week, when all anyone wants to do is think about November 3's game against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau.

Maybe trap games don't exist in NFL locker rooms, but they absolutely do on the internet.

And if you don't think players are already thinking about that matchup, let me point you to the most recent episode of Kay Adams' morning show, Up and Adams. (Get it?!) Adams brings NFL players on for one-on-one interviews, and some of this season's juiciest storylines – perhaps involving a former great Packers wide receiver – have come from these chats.

Once again, the Packers were a topic of conversation. (You know who wasn't? The Jaguars.) What's fun about this time is that it has absolutely nothing to do with Davante Adams or Aaron Rodgers. Adams had Lions star safety Brian Branch on the show, and she asked him which QB he wanted to pick off next – and you WON'T BELIEVE his answer!!!! Just kidding, you will. Branch officially started the countdown to Week 9's matchup with some very friendly trash talk.

Jordan Love is next on Brian Branch's interception wish list

"Jordan Love," he said. "He's playing good ball right now. And I respect his game. And if I could pick off him? Shoot, that'd mean a lot."

Ughhhh. I hate how nice this is. I never know what to do with polite trash talk – I know it's a strategy that works well and I know that there's real intent behind it, but I just can't get angry about it. Maybe that's why it's so effective?

It's like how Andrew Luck used to compliment defensive linemen for hitting him really hard two seconds after the ball was 45 yards down field in the end zone. Smiling and talking about how JORDAN LOVE IS NEXT with a bunch of compliments is devious. And it was on his birthday too?! Devious. Brian Branch, I apologize, I wasn't familiar with your game.
