Matt LaFleur's brutal injury update leaves Packers one snap from disaster

Watching the Green Bay Packers' offensive line disaster last week made it clear how badly they need to get healthy and find some continuity. The ever-revolving door gave them no hope against an elite defensive line.

What Matt LaFleur would give for some stability up front. Bad news: It ain't coming this week.

The opposite, in fact. Not only will the Packers miss star right tackle Zach Tom, but LaFleur has now ruled out rookie tackle Anthony Belton for Sunday Night Football. Left guard Aaron Banks is also trending that way, having missed the entire week of practice.

Packers' offensive line disaster may reach a new low in Week 4 vs. Cowboys

Three injuries to key players, including two starters, will force LaFleur to reshuffle the line again. It's the latest turn in a relentless, exhausting game of musical chairs he's been forced to play.

Jordan Morgan, whose head must be spinning after playing right tackle and left guard in the same game, will almost certainly start somewhere despite coming off a brutal performance against the Cleveland Browns.

If Banks is out, Morgan will likely step into the left guard spot, with Darian Kinnard covering for Tom and Belton at right tackle.

OK, a makeshift line of Rasheed Walker, Morgan, Elgton Jenkins, Sean Rhyan, and Kinnard is fine. Just about.

But that's assuming there are no more injuries. Walker isn't guaranteed to play due to a quadricep injury that has limited him at practice. If the Packers lose one more player along the offensive line, they will have to call up Donovan Jennings or Brant Banks. They only just promoted Banks to the 53-man roster.

If ever there were a week to play the Dallas Cowboys, this is it. Fortunately, Dallas' defensive line isn't nearly as terrifying as Cleveland's.

Their pass rush is reeling without Micah Parsons, having made only 4.0 sacks, which is fewer than Rashan Gary (4.5) has on his own.

But with Kenny Clark on the other side of the field looking for revenge, the Packers can't take anything for granted. The offensive line injury woes deepen — LaFleur must find a way to navigate the choppy waters and ensure the team arrives safely at the harbor of a Week 5 bye with a 3-1 record.
