Another week, another less-than-stellar Romeo Doubs injury update.

After missing Green Bay's last two games after suffering a concussion in the Packers' Week 12 win over the 49ers, Doubs still has yet to clear the league's concussion protocol. While speaking to reporters during his Monday press conference, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur that Doubs, along with rookie safety Evan Williams, were still in the protocol.
Romeo Doubs is still in concussion protocol for the start of Packers' Week 15
Every head injury is a little different, but it's obviously not great news for the Packers that Doubs remains out over two weeks after initially suffering the injury. Especially as Green Bay's passing offense has kinda stagnated this season – though they looked pretty good at times against Detroit – Doubs' absence obviously makes a tough situation even tougher.
Even after missing the last two games, Doubs still ranks 4th in targets, 4th in yards, and 3rd in receptions among Green Bay's pass catchers. Heading into the 49ers game, Doubs was on pace to set new career-bests in receptions, yards, catch %, and average depth of target (ADOT). In three years with Green Bay, Doubs has started 32 of the 40 games he's appeared in, catching 135 balls for over 1500 yards and 13 touchdowns.
According to ESPN's fancy new advanced wide receiver stats, Doubs ranks second overall among Packers' pass catchers. He ranks only behind Dontayvion Wicks in their 'open' score, and only behind Christian Watson in their 'catch' score. Continuing to keep him off injured reserve could be seen as a good sign that they're optimistic that he'll return at some point this season, but it seems pretty likely right now that he'll miss his third straight game this weekend in Seattle.
