The Green Bay Packers got off to a tremendous start to begin the 2025 season as they began the year with back-to-back dominant wins over a pair of NFC contenders -- the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders. They had the look of a true Super Bowl threat as they were playing elite on both sides of the ball.

While the defense continued to play elite in Week 3 as they had arguably their best performance of the season, the offense could not play complimentary football and put forth their worst performance -- resulting in a 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

The roles were reserved on Sunday Night Football as the offense played their best game of the season, however, the defense had, by far, their worst showing as the Packers and Dallas Cowboys matchup finished in a 40-40 tie.

Green Bay will now have a bye week as they look to regroup and get back to their winning ways. Matt LaFleur addressed the feeling around the team heading into the Week 5 bye.

The Packers have looked like a completely different team over the past two weeks. USA Today's Ryan Wood shared comments from LaFleur on the feeling around the team heading into the bye week, tweeting:

"Matt LaFleur on feeling entering bye after opening season with two dominant weeks: "Right now, it kind of feels like a kick in the gut. It definitely feels more like a loss than anything else in terms of the last game.""

ESPN's Rob Demovsky noted that LaFleur was also critical of Green Bay's final offensive play in overtime, adding:

"Packers coach Matt LaFleur said the final offensive play of OT “was like watching a slow motion car crash in front of your face” and felt like “there’s going to be no time left.” LaFleur said he figures that will be on teaching tape across the league this week."

LaFleur will have an extra week to prepare the Packers to rebound from their rough past two weeks. They will also face a very easy opponent coming out of the bye week as the Cincinnati Bengals, who are without Joe Burrow, will come to Lambeau Field in Week 6.

In two games without their star quarterback, the Bengals have been outscored 76-13. Green Bay has proven they can beat good teams, but have struggled against teams they should beat. They will have the perfect opportunity to prove that they don't play down to their opponent by taking care of business against a team whose opponents have outgained them by 534 yards over the past two weeks.
