The Green Bay Packers were bounced from the playoffs in the first round, and that, ultimately, will lead to people speculating about Matt LaFleur's future with the organization. To be fair, his future with the franchise was already up in the air, but the blown 18-point lead against the hated Chicago Bears didn't do him any favors.
Fortunately for LaFleur, his players have all spoken glowingly of him and want him to remain as the head coach of the Packers. Most notably, star pass-rusher Micah Parsons wants LaFleur to stick around and shared his endorsement with the media.
"I reached out to [LaFleur] when I started seeing this and I said, 'When I agreed to come here, you were part of the reason."

Micah Parsons is the latest Packers player to speak up for Matt LaFleur
Parsons is not the first player to say that he wants LaFleur to remain as the Packers' head coach. Quarterback Jordan Love made sure to vocalize his support for LaFleur, and if the quarterback and star pass-rusher are both speaking in favor of keeping him, it feels like it's an easy decision for the front office to make.
Sure, this season didn't end the way Packers fans were hoping it would, but there's a lot to factor in here. The team was dealing with a ton of injuries, and that ultimately brought them down in the back half of the season.
With that said, it's understandable why LaFleur is being linked to these discussions. The Packers imploded in the playoffs once again, and it's become a recurring trend for this team while he's been running the show. He's a great play-caller and has done wonderful things with Love, but when push comes to shove, this team isn't living up to its potential.
Fortunately for LaFleur, if two of his best players are leading the charge to keep him, it feels like he's probably safe... at least for now.
