It's only minicamp but Jordan Love has sent a clear warning to the NFL

The Green Bay Packers are entering Year 3 of the Jordan Love as a starter experiment, and it's hopefully going to be his best season yet. Love finally got the reins of the offense in 2023 and performed admirably, helping lead the Packers to an appearance in the divisional round (and nearly taking down the one-seeded San Francisco 49ers on the road).

The 2024 season was viewed as a step back for Love after what he did in 2023, but the Packers still reached the playoffs. As people say, "third time's a charm," and that's what Packers fans are hoping proves to be true with Love.

If Packers minicamp is any indication, fans could be in for quite a treat with Love at the helm this year. It's been great hearing about how Love is in complete control of the offense throughout minicamp, but then the former first-rounder had to go and end practice with the throw to end all throws.

"What an end to practice: Jordan Love, with Lukas Van Ness in his face, uncorked a deep ball to Mecole Hardman for a 74-yard TD," writes ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "He got behind the defense, caught it over-the-shoulder at the 30-yard line and beat them to the end zone."

Jordan Love's jaw-dropping throw proves he's on a mission this year

While Love's 2024 season was considered to be a step back from what he did in 2023, he did miss two games due to an injury he sustained in the first game of the season in Brazil (he also left two others early).

Love threw seven fewer touchdowns, but the Packers also didn't have great options at wide receiver for him to throw to. They also became far more run-heavy with Josh Jacobs leading the backfield.

The hope is that now, with better wide receivers and Love being fully healthy and ready to go, he can get back to his 2023 form and make a run at the division. If that throw he had at minicamp is any indication, it sure looks like Love is determined to be one of the most fun quarterbacks to watch in the 2025 season.
