NFC North quarterback power rankings Week 13: Here comes Jordan Love
By Eric Fischer
The NFL season truly flies by. It feels like the season was just kicking off, and we are already at Thanksgiving weekend.
Playoff races are starting to take shape in both the NFL and fantasy football leagues.
With three NFC North teams in action on Thanksgiving day, grab a plate, get comfy, and let's take a look at how the division's quarterbacks rank among each other.
NFC North quarterback rankings: Jordan Love is getting back to his best
4. Caleb Williams, Bears
Overall, it wasn't a terrible game from Williams, throwing for 340 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Williams also led the Bears' ground attack, carrying six times for 33 yards. This comes off a 231-yard effort with no touchdowns or interceptions against the Packers in Week 11.
Williams is not the reason the Bears haven't won since playing the Jaguars in London on October 13. However, he hasn't led them past anyone. Chicago had gone two games without a touchdown, and Williams hadn't thrown for a score since the London game until he found Keenan Allen in the fourth quarter against Minnesota. Things don't get any easier for the Bears, as they are heavy underdogs ahead of their Thanksgiving day showdown against Detroit.
3. Jared Goff, Lions
The Detroit Lions keep rolling, sitting at 10-1 and the clear favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history. Detroit rolled past the Colts on Sunday by a score of 24-6, courtesy of the Sonic and Knuckles duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Goff was rather pedestrian in the win, throwing for 269 yards without a touchdown or interception.
Goff is very hit-or-miss. When he is on, like he was against the Jaguars in Week 11, he threw for 4 touchdowns en route to a 52-6 win. Detroit doesn't need Goff to be Superman, just to not lose games. Detroit gets Chicago in its annual Thanksgiving Day game before the toughest part of its schedule begins, which will ultimately determine whether the Lions will be legitimate contenders or fade away.

2. Sam Darnold, Vikings
Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings did just enough to win against Chicago this weekend. At the end of the day, that is all that matters—a win is a win. Darnold was 22-for-34 for 330 yards and two touchdowns.
This was another ugly win for the Vikings. Darnold threw for 2 touchdowns, both of which came in the second quarter, and the team scored its first second-half rushing touchdown in 27 games, according to the FOX broadcast. To Darnold's credit, he did lead a drive that ended in a field goal to put the Vikings up 11 with under two minutes to go. If you look at the schedule, despite a 9-2 record, cracks may be starting to show, and Darnold may have hit his peak this season.
1. Jordan Love, Packers
This is a Packers site, after all. I try to be as neutral as possible when writing these, but I am willing to give Jordan Love credit where credit is due. Love had his first game all season without a turnover despite a couple of close calls. Love went 13-of-23 for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
When writing power rankings, it is often a pulse of where things have been compared to where things are going. Love had a game without a turnover but also should have had another touchdown and higher yards total if not for a Christian Watson drop near the end of the first half.
Love is looking healthy and making better decisions. The two sacks were both smart decisions, and he did as much as possible to limit the yards lost by stepping up in the pocket rather than forcing a throw that wasn't there. Green Bay hosts Miami on Thanksgiving night, which should be another big test for this young Packers squad.
