NFL insider sparks terror in Green Bay after latest Bears draft buzz

No. Just, no.

Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, most Green Bay Packers fans have been entirely too focused on what their own team is going to do in the first round to care much about what another team's plans are.

That is, unless the other team we're talking about is the Chicago Bears.

In that case, no one wants to see the Bears do anything positive. After all, we're talking about the team Green Bay has historically owned, especially in recent memory.

Yet, with the offseason those Bears have had, one Packer fan cannot help but take notice. You have to give it to them. They finally made the right hire (or so most think) when it comes to their head coach. Then, they finally went and did the things they needed to do with the holes in their roster; namely, the offensive line.

Now, they have a chance to improve even more, but who wants that? Apparently, the Bears might not just improve a little, but quite a bit, if the most recent draft buzz comes to fruition.

The Packers won't like who the Bears are targeting in the first round

According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, the Bears are indeed attempting to trade up from no. 10 overall.

Their plan?

Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

Mind you, this is a new report released just over a couple of hours before draft time. Sure, we've seen and heard plenty about the Bears' so-called love for Jeanty and how many have predicted them to be a great landing spot.

But, this is now as serious a report as you can get. If The Athletic is putting their name on something like this, you have to pay attention.

And, if you're an honest Packers fan, you do not want this to happen. A star running back, in Chicago, behind a mostly-fixed offensive line and Ben Johnson running the offense? That's not good.

Now, of course, that also comes with the assumption that things will, indeed, go right in Chicago. And that rarely happens.

But, it was only a matter of time before Chicago was relevant again, right? If we're being truthful, that's just how this league works. Heck, the Lions are more than relevant and nobody saw that coming 10 years ago.

Jeanty to the Bears is, well, bad news (had to, it was right there).

In short, let's just hope this doesn't happen.
