3 nightmare scenarios for the Packers at this year's NFL trade deadline
By Ryan Heckman
What a whirlwind it's been on the NFL trade market as of late. Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was reunited with Aaron Rodgers in New York. Amari Cooper changed teams and now gets to enjoy a winning culture in Buffalo.
Could the Packers make a move before the trade deadline on November 5? We'll see. But, another topic that's fair to talk about is whether or not any of their rivals would make a move and how it could impact the divisional race.
The NFC North is the best division in football and it's not close. The scariest part? Every team has suffered major adversity thus far. The Packers went a couple of games without Jordan Love. Chicago struggled out of the gate with a rookie quarterback and poor offensive line play.
You could argue Minnesota's big adversity came when J.J. McCarthy went down for the year and they truly had to put all their eggs in the Sam Darnold basket -- which has worked out phenomenally thus far.
And as for Detroit, well, the Aidan Hutchinson news was as harsh as any over this past week.
As far as any of the Packers' rivals making a notable trade by the deadline, which ones might make things tougher for Green Bay?
These trades could make the NFC North even scarier for the Packers
If the Bears traded for Titans IOL Daniel Brunskill
As the Bears continue to get better behind rookie Caleb Williams' steady improvement, one thing has also improved: their offensive line. But, that doesn't mean Chicago won't go out and try to strengthen the weakest part of their team, and that's the interior of that line.
Daniel Brunskill lost his starting job and can play both center and guard, and he's a serviceable player. The Bears haven't exactly had consistent, serviceable players on the interior this season, and if they added someone like Brunskill, that would count as an improvement.

If the Lions made a notable trade for a pass-rusher
Obviously, the biggest hole in this entire division came about when Aidan Hutchinson went down with a nasty leg injury in Week 6. Detroit will certainly be surveying the field of potentially-available pass-rushers, but who knows if they actually make a move.
Someone like Haasan Reddick is going to be difficult to get. Brian Burns might become available at the right price, even though he just signed with the Giants. The Raiders aren't going to part with Maxx Crosby, and the same sentiment can be had for Myles Garrett and the reeling Browns -- I think.
But, if the Lions went out and somehow managed a notable pass-rusher addition, look out. That defense is already playing well all-around as of late.
If the Vikings traded for Titans DL Sebastian Joseph-Day
Let's go back to the Titans, once again, who may be entering full-on seller's mode here soon. The Vikings defense is one of the better units in the league, thus far, as is the Titans' defense. However, Tennessee is heading in the polar opposite direction. So, someone like interior lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day could be had via trade.
The Vikings don't necessarily need him, but he'd also help add even more depth to that Brian Flores defense. And to be quite frank, that's the last thing the Packers need right now in the midst of a difficult division battle.
