Going into training camp, the Green Bay Packers still have a few positions which are giving fans a bit of worry and, to be honest, a borderline headache.
Wide receiver isn't necessarily a position of worry, but it is a bit convoluted at the moment. Seeing how the depth chart shakes out, there, will be intriguing. One notable name, though, gets left off in our latest prediction.
Let's dive into our pre-training camp roster assessment and projection.
The Packers end up cutting a Super Bowl champion en route to their 53-man roster
Quarterbacks (3): Jordan Love, Malik Willis, Sean Clifford
There aren't any surprises here, so long as the Packers intend on keeping three quarterbacks.
Running Backs (4): Josh Jacobs, MarShawn Lloyd, Emanuel Wilson, Chris Brooks
One name to watch in camp is Chris Brooks, whom the dynasty fantasy community would love to see get more touches. Nonetheless, it'll be Josh Jacobs getting the healthy majority of carries.
Wide Receivers (6): Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams, Bo Melton
Christian Watson will likely start the year on the PUP list while former Kansas City Chief Mecole Hardman gets the boot. If the Packers thought he was going to solve much, they were wrong.
Meanwhile, Bo Melton gets the nod as a possible two-way option.
Tight Ends (3): Tucker Kraft, Luke Musgrave, Ben Sims
Beyond Musgrave, the Packers have some rather unknown names. Here, it's Ben Sims making the cut.
Offensive Linemen (9): Rasheed Walker, Anthony Banks, Elgton Jenkins, Sean Rhyan, Zach Tom, Anthony Belton, Jordan Morgan, Jacob Monk, John Williams
The Packers keep nine offensive and defensive linemen, apiece, although the next group of guys might see the most shifting after cut day.
Defensive Linemen (9): Rashan Gary, Kenny Clark, Devonte Wyatt, Lukas Van Ness, Barryn Sorrell, Kingsley Enagbare, Karl Brooks, Collin Oliver, Warren Brinson
Green Bay notably needs to add another pass rusher. Do they find one on the waiver wire?
Linebackers (5): Edgerrin Cooper, Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie, Ty'Ron Hopper, Kristian Welch
Former Iowa Hawkeye and Midwesterner, Kristian Welch, is the last man in line.
Cornerbacks (6): Nate Hobbs, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine, Micah Robinson, Kalen King, Tyron Herring
King, Robinson and Herring might be in danger after roster cuts, as the Packers very well might add a veteran who was cut elsewhere. Herring, being an undrafted free agent, could be in the most hot water.
Safety (5): Xavier McKinney, Evan Williams, Javon Bullard, Zayne Anderson, Kitan Oladapo
Can the undrafted Kahzir Brown push for a spot?
Special Teamers (3): Brandon McManus, Daniel Whelan, Matt Orzech
