The Green Bay Packers had a bunch of injury updates to get through after Week 18's loss to the Bears on Sunday, and while it sounds like they avoided the worst-case scenario with Jordan Love, things don't sound as rosy for Christian Watson.
Watson left the game midway through the first half after going down with a non-contact injury. Both Bears and Packers players around him quickly called out to trainers, and Watson was carted off while holding the other knee from the one that's been bothering him at times throughout the season.

Immediately after the injury, the team announced that he was questionable to return with a knee injury, though he didn't return to the sideline after being carted off. During his postgame press conference, Matt LaFleur didn't have much new info about Watson's knee, but there was still plenty to read into from what he told reporters.
*UPDATE*: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Christian Watson's season is over. You can read the full details here.
Matt LaFleur's answer on Christian Watson's knee injury doesn't sound good
In theory, the most optimistic Packers fan out there could interpret this simply as LaFleur not having enough new information to give a responsible answer. LaFleur doesn't like to get too specific about injuries during these postgame pressers, and it wouldn't be the first time this season that a gloomy answer ended up sounding worse than it ended up being.
I wouldn't blame any Packers fan for trying to convince themself of that, despite what's probably LaFleur admitting that Watson suffered a pretty serious knee injury. LaFleur even mentioned that Watson – who was already dealing with the knee issue going into Week 18 – was out there in large part because Romeo Doubs was sick on Sunday and couldn't suit up. (Though LaFleur expects Doubs to be available for the Wild Card game in Philly.)
We'll obviously get more information on Monday morning, but it certainly feels like the Packers have seen the last of Watson this year.
