The Green Bay Packers had another successful Family Night and managed to avoid some injury concerns in the process.
During the team's annual Family Night, which acts as essentially an open practice that takes place inside Lambeau Field, Packers fans got their first real glimpse of the upcoming season's team. Alongside some drills and a few scrimmage sessions, though, came some early scares for the fans.
Rookies Brandon Cisse and Chris McClellan, as well as veteran center Jacob Monk and wide receiver Jayden Reed, all dropped out of practice toward the end, when the team was running offense vs. defense drills.
Cisse took himself out of the final team drill and was seen pointing at his left quad, while McClellan was seen chatting with a team medic while the drills took place.
While fans were initially worried, thankfully things seem to be fine for all parties involved. Speaking after practice, coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that all four players simply cut practice short due to some cramping.

"There was more cramping. A little humid out there tonight," said LaFleur, according to The Leap's Jason B. Hirschhorn.
Packers avoid multiple injury scares at Family Night practice
Cisse and McClellan confirmed the news to Packers' manager of digital content Wes Hodkiewicz, and Cisse told Hirschhorn that it was "nothing serious at all," and he was held out as a precaution more than anything.
Before they went out, it looked like all four were making plays for the team. Cisse, specifically, was seen lining up against Christian Watson in 1-on-1 drills. According to folks there and some footage taken of the practice, Cisse seemed to hold his own against Watson and even got a couple of pass breakups in.
The news is surely great to hear for fans, and for many reasons. While you're always happy to hear a player walked away unscathed, the four players in question all figure to play a major role for the Packers. Although they're both rookies, Cisse and McClellan will be leaned on heavily to start the season.
Due to the state of the Packers' cornerback room, Cisse could be playing a full starter's role, while McClellan looks to bolster a defensive tackle room that's going through some injuries right now, with Devonte Wyatt and Javon Hargrave still having yet to fully practice for the team.
Jayden Reed, of course, is coming back from an injury-plagued 2025 season and looks to be a major player in the Packers' passing game, and Monk is hoping to make a bigger impact on the team after playing just 57 offensive snaps last year. At least for now, the Packers should be able to count on them being back when training camp resumes on Monday.
